How You Can Help The Kids

Pray: Keep Alpha's mission, missionary staff, children, and supporters lifted in prayer to the Lord.

Volunteer: The mission itself has been built from the ground up over the years with the help of countless volunteers and those who have donated their services. We will be prayerfully looking at growing the mission to four homes over the next 10 years, and will need many expert volunteers and services (architects, contractors, laborers, etc.) to accomplish this!

Other Volunteer Needs: Classroom Help, Work Project Volunteers, Professional Volunteers and Services. We list professional volunteers who donate their services on our website!

Save Campbell's & Best Choice brand UPC Symbols, and General Mills Box Tops. We redeem these for cash and school equipment.

Donate: Alpha is 100% privately funded and relies daily on the financial support of compassionate churches, groups, and individuals to meet the needs of the children.  There is no fee charged for those we serve.

Food Drives: We are always in need of food and household supplies. You can hold a food drive for our mission any time!

Hold a benefit event for Alpha: Examples are concerts, bowling tournaments, etc.

Alpha's Long Range Plan

ACCH is planning for a phased expansion of its ministry. The full plan calls for three fully staffed residential houses and one fully staffed relief house. This model will support up to 26 children on campus. Additional staff will be needed for school and program support, as well as planned upgrades to the Multi-purpose Building and general campus infrastructure.

Phase One Funding Plan

The ACCH board is announcing a comprehensive fundraising campaign (Building on a Legacy of Love Campaign) to remodel and open a second residential house in the Fall of 2010, add appropriate residential and support staff, and provide for property insurance and transportation. This plan will nearly double ACCH's capacity and establish the foundation for achieving their long range goals.

You can become a partner with us to provide for these additional children in crisis by becoming a regular financial partner.  For example, three hundred new partners supporting with $30 per month for three years will get this second home opened and will bring hope to children who need someone to care.  Some can give more and some less – but we know that our goal is within reach.  Your gift in support of expanded ministry will help when combined with others’ gifts to open this new place for children in 2010!  Your partnership is vital and will help reach so many little ones for Christ, instill a fruitful education in each one, and provide a loving and stable home, as well as healthful meals to a great number of young lives looking to us for help over the years to come.

*These funds are needed to finish the projects and provide the infrastructure needed to increase the number of children in care.

Increased Annual Support:* $130,000

Support Staff: $55,000 (Director of Development, Volunteer Coordinator, Office & School Staff)

*These are ongoing annual funds needed to care for and sustain the needs of an additional 6-10 children on campus.

OUR MISSION

Alpha Christian Children's Home is a mission committed to rescuing children in need with unconditional love and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Children are provided a loving, Christian home in our residence for children, and an outstanding individual-based education in our on-site Christian school.

The Need

Children find refuge at Alpha due to many circumstances, including past or ongoing abuse, homelessness, neglect, death in the family, delinquency, academic challenges, behavioral problems resulting from broken or dysfunctional homes, poverty, family incarceration, and substance abuse.

Alpha is literally rescuing and saving children from circumstances or choices that put them at great risk! Each child's story is unique. Usually Alpha nurtures six to ten children with unconditional love and care in each on-site residence at a time, depending on the individual needs involved.

Your Mission Partnership enables children to come to Alpha to find the family and Savior that they need!
