Volunteer Projects / Work Dates

For over 50 years, Alpha has been built and expanded from the ground up with the generosity and hands-on work of our amazing and beloved volunteers!  We are always deeply grateful for each and every person who offers a helping hand at our peaceful haven in the woods, tackling projects ranging in size from yard clean-up work or small repairs, to building completely new structures. 

For 2026, we are excited to announce that our GROUP Volunteering calendar is already completely booked up for the entire year!!  We have multiple projects in mind that these wonderful groups will be tackling this year to continue to improve and expand our campus facilities for the kids. 

We will not be able to schedule any additional group volunteering trips to Alpha for 2026; however, we DO plan to arrange a Saturday WORK DAY once each quarter which will offer a volunteering day on our campus for anyone who would like to come out and give a helping hand!  Liking/Following our FACEBOOK page is a great way to become aware of any upcoming  Volunteer Project Work Days that you might be interested in!

Priority List of Projects Available for Volunteers 

Alpha House Needs

• Gas Fireplace Insert
• Replace the shed and build a garage
• Build a dog Kennel
• Replace wore out chain link fence
• Build a chicken coop
• Playground Maintance
• Clean up brush, trees etc.
• Build a roof below the deck to create a ceiling above the walk out basement

Grace House 

• Plant grass seed
• Remove trees as needed
• Remove rocks as needed for yard.
• Install a roof over 1800’s rock barn
• Clean out and seal Pond
• Build Hiking and walking trails
• Concrete a parking area/walkway near the house
• Paint the exterior of the barn

Faith House Needs

• Concrete Sidewalk To Entrance Needed
• Maintain animal program barns.
• Insulate the barn where baby goats are born on campus
• Build Fencing

Hope House

• Bathroom Partial Remodel / Update
• Paint and repair drywall as needed

Fahola Staff/Office House

• Replace Concrete Front Porch
• Repair Rock Siding

Snavely Education Center School Facility Needs

• Annual Playground Maintenance
• Finish Stairs and build a room at the bottom of stairs for storage of playground materials
• Replace chain link fence with a taller fence for catching playground balls

Around The Ranch

• Firewood Work
• Fence Replacement for Animals
• Land Clearing of Cedar Trees / Clearing Fence Lines
• Grounds Work
• Build a 12×12 roof over the animal hay feeder
• Address an exposed hand-dug well

Professional Services

• Household Duct Cleaning
• Tree Services

Note: There are many other areas of volunteer need in addition to the priority list above. We have a more extensive list of specific projects available that include Mowing Grounds, Interior & Exterior Painting, Gardening, Landscaping, Fencing, General Clean Up & Maintenance Around The Ministry, and Counting & Packaging UPCs for Submission. If you would like to come help out, let us know how many people would like to come, what skill set the group might have, and what kind of budget you have when you call to inquire, and we can help you pick a project to fit your specific group & skill set.
